Spalding are continuing to turn back the clock to celebrate the NBA Champions of the past, reminiscing on the iconic moments of our game, with the 1987 Lakers Champions, the next ball to drop in the range.
After ten years of battling with their rivals, the Lakers faced the Celtics, for another showdown in the 1987 NBA Finals. Capping off the regular season with 65 wins, the Lakers put it all on the line in the finals against the reigning champs, taking it to game 6 and taking out the championship 4 games to 2. Magic Johnson was awarded the Finals MVP for his stellar performance, where he picked up his fourth championship ring.
Johnson, Green, Abdul-Jabbar, Worthy, Cooper, just some of the names who significantly contributed to the win. These players are etched in history, as they helped the Lakers to their 10th NBA title and were named one of the ten greatest NBA Teams to ever play.
